As a licensed (LICSW) clinical social worker I am trained to help people enhance or restore their capacity for functioning. The practice of social work requires knowledge of human development and behavior.
I have certification as an ACSW (by the Academy of Certified Social Workers and certification as Advanced Social Work in Gerontology. I am a state designated Geriatric and DD Specialist.
My experience includes:
- Working in a community mental health setting helping the chronically mentally ill.
- I have been a CDMHP (County Designed Mental Health Professional) in on-call setting that require skills to contain unpredictable situations with people who are in emotional distress
