He is Risen!
We rejoice and celebrate as christian brothers and sisters because today is a reminder that Satan, Sin and Death has been defeated. It is a reminder that our great king and God Jesus went to the greatest lengths to display his love for us. That while we were still in sin we were and are fiercely loved.
With our savior Jesus risen from the grave, we are called to focus intensely on him and to not be distracted with what the world offers. We are also called to be in the world, but not of it. Christ’s death and resurrection empowers us to be Holy and set apart. We are a kingdom of priests, sent to the nations to proclaim the great love of God.
This love and knowledge of it needs to be deep in you. The salvation that Jesus gives us is meant to transform us. It is meant to transform the way we look at and do relationships.
Today is an opportunity to forgive those that wronged you; because you were dead in your sin and Christ forgave you through his atoning sacrifice and spilling of his blood on the cross, who now sits at the right hand of God the Father and is calling all people and nations to himself.
“For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness,”
Psalm 95:7-8 ESV
